Doug Dowler Retires from The Development Corporation of Snyder

The Development Corporation of Snyder’s Executive Director, Doug Dowler, announced his retirement from his position at last Wednesday’s board meeting, effective July 31, 2022. 

Dowler mentioned recent health issues as part of his decision to leave DCOS. 

“I’m proud of the work we have done over this past year and I am excited to see the progress Snyder makes now that the foundations are in place,” Dowler said. 

Over the past year and a half, DCOS worked hard to put Snyder on the map for businesses who are looking to move to or expand within Texas. This initiative included rebranding, social media outreach, digital advertising, public relations, expanding technology, and more. DCOS has also increased its visibility as a resource for existing businesses within the community. 

"I am thankful for the path Doug and our team has made for the DCOS over the past year and we will certainly miss him as he enters a new phase of his life,” Barbara Leatherwood, Director of Marketing, Business Retention & Expansion, said. “But I am eager to continue the work and carry forward the progress we have made so we can grow Snyder to its fullest potential."
