Local businesses are thriving in an attractively revitalized cityscape with improvements driven by efforts like the DCOS’s Economic Improvement Initiative, which provided more than $380,000 for local improvements in 23 diverse development projects. The 75/25 match funding for property owners ultimately resulted in more than $500,000 in capital improvements along with the creation of 53 direct jobs and the commitment to retain 134 jobs.
